I complained I had no shoes, until I meet a man with no feet.

I came across this Indian proverb on twitter and it got me thinking on how we often focus on what we don't have rather than what we do have.
Our energy can sometimes be misplaced.....we focus and direct our energy on what we want want want rather than appreciate all that the wonderful things that we have.

Today I am going to count my blessings, or if blessing feels too religious for you think of it as appreciating all you have:

* my health
* my partner
* my friends
* i am free
* i love my work
* i am alive
* i have travelled to many amazing countries
* i have met some wonderful people along my journey of life
* i have peace
* i spend time in the countryside
* i am who I am
* autumn leaves
* sunsets
* sunrises
* sunshine (living in London I truly appreciate any sunshine we get!)
* spring
* snow
* birds singing

These are just some aspects of my life which I love and enjoy so much, the ones that really touch my heart.

What are your blessings or what do you appreciate in your life?

Take some time out and focus on what you have and all that you appreciate in your life.
